The game pitting the Arizona State Sun Devil b-ballers against the (Christian) Grand Canyon University Antelopes might be an exhibition match, but if you think of it as Satan versus God, you've got yourself a real ballgame. While the ´lopes continue their rise to respectability under offensive-minded third-year coach Scott Mossman, ASU honcho Herb Sendek is trying to get in good with the Big Dude by preaching family values, as in this Media Day quote: "I really like the character quotient of our team. That doesn't mean we don't have to go to church. That doesn't mean we don't have our moments . . . but we have guys who are really good people." Hallelujah, Brother Herb!
