TV mogul Sherwood Schwartz, creator of barking mutts like Gilligans Island and The Brady Bunch, cant let a bad thing go. Consider 2002s The Brady Bunch in the White House and 2004s The Real Gilligans Island reality show. But straight-to-videos not enough, it seems. The canny ol bastard and his canny-young-bastard son, Lloyd J. Schwartz, just had to go and write a theatrical version of Gilligan Gilligans Island: The Musical. Dont expect a Tony buzz, or even an AriZoni nod, cause word on the street disallows both. But pop-culture freaks and who else could this be aimed at? can expect a dose of innocuous dopitude to rival the original.
