Will Leitch don't like the bling, yo. Referred to by some as the sports world's Jon Stewart, this outspoken/irreverent young grump founded Deadspin.com with the notion of returning our morally bankrupt pastimes to the glory days of thrill of victory/agony of defeat. He's an advocate for the long-suffering Joe Schmoe, and he lets it be known in his new book God Save the Fan: How Sportscaster Gimmicks, Soulless Leagues, and Athletes Who Speak in the Third Person Are Taking the Fun Out of Sports (and How We Can Get it Back). Leitch discusses and signs the book at the Valley whistlestop on his tour, which coincides with all the Super Bowl XLII hubbub.
