North Scottsdale's newest slice of La Vocé Vita

Considering the stiff penalties for drinking and driving, it's not often we make our way to the outskirts of town for a cocktail. But on Friday, January 18, we were feeling particularly sober and decided to check out a brand-new joint in north Scottsdale called Vocé Ristoranté & Lounge. Being that Vocé is out of our neighborhood, we caught a whole different crop of folks looking for nightlife on the classier side of the party spectrum. (Click here for more photos.)

Much to our relief, Vocé lacks the seediness of hipster crowds and avoids the sickening glisten of the Old Town Scottsdale herd. Instead, classy dames and gents, sipping on cocktails and enjoying the smooth, jazzy sounds from the resident live band, surrounded us. We sat back and thoroughly enjoyed the laughably classic lounge scene. It may have bordered on cheesy at times, but we loved every second and are green with envy of those that live in Vocé's hood.
