Fiasco de Bliss

Over the past year, the Goat Head Saloon, 1423 South Country Club Drive in Mesa, has given groovy types around the PHX a place to trip out and chillax to the kind sounds of local jam bands and other irie musicians. And now, the Mesa jam shack will be taking a trip in a more tribal direction when, on Friday, February 22, it plays host to Fiasco de Bliss, an ultra-harmonious one-night festival of turntablists, live beat-making performances, and belly dancing galore. Kicking things off will be Nick Synergy and Hahn the Barbarian (of the Overmind Works crew), who'll be in the house spinning some of their signature psytrance to get attendees in the mood. Also in the lineup are members of the Salacious Beat Slingers and local "elevational funktronica" artist J. Wail, each performing live P.A. sets and creating slick and sick electronica beats. The bliss begins at 9 p.m. with a $6 cover. Call 480-464-8030.
