Beachfront property in Tucson — going fast

We’ve penned quite a few pieces about the ASU-UA rivalry, with a serious bent toward the hometown Sun Devils. But we haven’t quite said what we’ve always wanted to say. Until now.

Eff you, Tucson.

There. We feel better. However, we won’t be satisfied until 1) the Old Pueblo sinks into the Gulf of Mexico, and 2) almighty ASU Baseball can whop up on the Arizona Wildcats during the teams’ one and only meeting in Tempe this season. (The two compete down south in May. Hopefully, Tucson will be underwater by then.)

As of press time, Pat Murphy’s Devils have compiled a 9-0 record, which has earned the squad a No. 1 national ranking. So far, ASU’s Brett Wallace, Ike Davis, Kiel Rolling, and crew have dropped bombs on national powerhouses Vanderbilt, Michigan (twice), and two-time defending champion Oregon State. What have the Kitty Kats accomplished? They took two out of three against an average Georgia team and swept (obviously) unranked Sacramento State. Yawn.
