Latin lovers lock steps at saucy dance fest

In response to his girlfriend's loathing of late-night Latin rhythms, John Winger (as played by Bill Murray) in Stripes offers these wise words: “Tito Puente’s gonna be dead, and you're gonna say, ‘Oh, I’ve been listening to him for years — he’s fabulous!’”

The folks at AZSalsa.net keep the boogaloo alive during their second annual AZSalsa Festival. The slammin’ pachanga brings Johnny Polanco y su Conjunto Amistad from L.A. to provide the live salsa dura. Some of the fiercest salseros from California, Las Vegas, and Miami will also be on hand to match steps with Phoenix’s finest, while left-footers can take daytime workshops designed to help them get their shine on.
