Padre’s Patty Party

Published on March 12, 2008 at 4:00am

There’s definitely gonna be a lot of partying going on around the Valley during St. Patrick’s Day, and one the biggest parties will undoubtedly be Padre Murphy’s annual tent hootenanny. Boasting a 16,000-square-foot tent, the annual Irish extravaganza kicks off at 11 a.m. and features a day-long celebration with fire-eaters, clowns, face painters, and other entertainers, as well as plenty of the requisite corned beef and cabbage, food vendors, drink specials, and green beer. The live entertainment line-up includes The McMorrows at 1 p.m., the McElligott Irish step dancers at 2 p.m., the Charge Michael Band at 3 p.m., Colleen Callahan at 5 p.m., a 26-piece bagpipe band at 6:30 p.m., J. David Sloan with Western Bred at 7 p.m., and Envy at 9 p.m.
