Funny cars and fireworks. What more do yall want?
Published on June 18, 2008 at 4:01am
Rednecks like things that go pop! Just-opened beer cans. Guns. Fireworks. Funny cars jolting off the starters line with concussive force. Firebird International Raceway will transform such neck-friendly ear and eye candy, sans the guns, into one huge blowout during the Coors Light Summer Spectacular. Funny cars and jet cars will go head to head in the ultimate test of speed while Robosaurus - the big, bad, vehicle-chomping bully that stands 42 feet high - will get spectators hootin and a-hollerin, especially after the beer starts to go down like water. A fireworks display will punctuate the festivities.
