It began as a small territorial fair 124 years ago. From those sleepy origins, the Arizona Exposition and State Fair (AESF) has grown into one of the best attended state fairs in the nation. Hundreds of thousands of residents from across the state flock to the fair each year to enjoy its new foods, exhibits, and entertainment offerings. Where else can you eat a deep fried Twinkie, pet a pot-bellied pig, and see a great concert all in the same day?
AESF provides additional value to the community by hosting numerous non-fair events and activities. From presidents to pontiffs, AESF has showcased thousands of major events. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, its facilities became a national model for emergency preparedness. AESF’s rich history, service to the community, and continued popularity make it unique among state agencies.
