The New Times Summer of Sound Series is in full force and is hitting music venues all over the valley. Summer of Sound is a unique new movement that features 7 different genres, 7 different nights, at 7 different venues.
The New Times will be bringing a Psychedelic-Sci-fi feel to Club Mardi Gras with head liner Estratasphere on Friday, July 18th. The local acts YOURCHESTRA, JANIS JOPLIN CRAP 'N VOMIT, BLACK CARL, and ANDREW JACKSON JIHAD will be playing their best musical creations in order to be named best in their genre.
Doors for all shows open at 7 p.m., with performances starting at 7:45. Admission for all shows in the series costs ONLY $5. The local winner in each category will be determined by audience votes -- so get out there, get your groove on, and cast your ballot.
